Not dead yet

Yes, I only come here once in every few months, it seems. Truth to be told, my friendship deteriorated with most of the people who used to follow/view this blog years ago, so I'm not so enthusiastic about updating any longer. Plus I forgot how to draw. :B

And I also got myself a twitter account in March. I've been uploading the few things I'm working on there. However, I think I'll still keep this blog. It's a nice archive for myself. Better than twitter because I can actually find things I posted months or years ago.

This was the first sketch I posted on twitter. I also coloured and posted it on dA, but I still prefer the sketch. I don't like how the coloured version turned out.

Sinbad is my big obsession, I still haven't stopped doing countless little sketches of him. And I wanted to draw an angry Sinbad for once. I find him very attractive when he's angry/serious.

Not sure if I should finish this. It's a random VinceAda thing I did based on a photo. I suck at drawing long hair, uuugh.

I drew this for the 69 minutes challenge on twitter. I'm amazed I managed to draw it in only 69 minutes, though I had the concept and reference ready before I actually started drawing it. (Even just planning a drawing can take long. If I don't have an actual idea, I can spend 20 minutes staring into the void and drawing random lines that make no sense before giving up.)

This was drawn after the last PH chapter came out. Just a warm-up practice thingy of Vincent.

Little Lacie dancing in the blood of her enemies. I originally wanted to draw Jack all beaten up but then I drew Lacie. Her legs may be too short, idk.

My next PH Tarot card, I'm working on this right now. I did the characters separately and randomly inserted them on my template and I was surprised how well they fit. The background is too gaudy at the moment, I'll probably tone down the pinks later. I had a lot of issues with this card because I wanted to come up with some super cool symbolic concept and all but nothing I could do looked good enough, so I had to resort to something simple.

The sparrows are so annoying today, I can't concentrate on drawing because of them. This year we even have woodpeckers, Eurasian jays and doves.

And we also have a cheeky chickadee. We feed them walnuts besides the sunflower seeds. They love walnuts. Yesterday morning I wasn't feeling well (I often have stomachaches lately) and lied down on my bed for a bit. I opened my window because most "unwanted" birds (pigeons, jays, etc.) are afraid of an open window and won't dare to eat the chickadees' food while it's open. However, there weren't any walnuts left in their feeder, just the ones my mother had cut up and put on the table earlier.
So our favourite cheeky chickadee comes. She (I assume it's a female) doesn't find any nut pieces in their basket left, starts searching and jumps on the inner frame of the window. She looks around for a bit, then comes in and flies on the table. She found the freaking nuts my mom put there for me to put in their feeder later. So she walked there, picked up a piece of nut, knocked another piece off in the process, then I think she jumped on my armchair with it and finally flew out the window. SO CUTE.
I watched the whole thing from the back of the room from my bed. It's a shame I didn't have my camera with me, I could have filmed it.
Last summer they came in to the kitchen by accident all the time, but this one bird seems to be way too brave and intelligent. She's also that kind of bird who comes as soon as we open the window. She sits there and waits for us to put food in their basket. Then she starts eating while we are still standing there in the open window close enough to reach her. A few days ago I tried offering her nuts from my hand and even though she was too wary to actually touch my hand, she seemed very tempted and didn't fly away.

I want new music to listen to. I discovered the album The 1975 by The 1975 a couple of months ago and still love it. I used to listen to their songs "Me" and "Fallingforyou" on tumblr a lot and then I finally got their album. My favourites are "Heart Out" and "Robbers".

Okay, I guess I rambled enough for now. Back to drawing VinceAda~

Last post of 2014: VinceAda Hell

Long time no post again. To be honest, I haven't been drawing much. I'd thought I'd be able to draw so much in December, but I failed. orz I'm trying to draw for at least 1 hour every day, though. But it seems I'm only getting worse and worse... ;___;

This is a scribble I did for Halloween. It wasn't turning out well, so I never finished it.

Very quick draft for a big picture I'd like to draw one day. Knowing myself I'll never draw it in the end, but I'm posting this here as a reminder because I may end up commissioning someone to draw it for me.

I was tagged with a kiss meme on deviantART a long time ago and this sketch was done for that meme. It's "kiss on the shoulder" VinceAda style.

More VinceAda. This is almost finished, though still needs a lot of tweaking and amending. Whyisitsobrightasdds... I originally did the base scribble of this in October and it wasn't refined or anything, just two stick figures facing each other, but I saved it for some reason. So I opened the file a few days ago and turned them into Vincent and Ada. I hope I can post this somewhere today.

That's all I have to post for now. I don't even know what I'm doing but I somehow manage to waste my time pretty effectively... I guess I spent a lot of time on tumblr this year. I also keep watching anime and reading manga and talking to people on deviantART. I also started playing some computer games again. For example, I downloaded The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection when it was available to download for free during summer. I only started playing it in October, but Sims games were always somewhat addictive for me.

I love the evil snowmen grouchy sims build, lol. I think I've tried out all the expansion packs I never had (I only had the base game). The Pets expansion is probably the least fun for me even though I'd expected to like that one. But I really enjoy the addition of changing seasons, the new romantic interactions and I like sending my teenagers to university. And I suck at managing stores with Open for Business, lol. Anyway, now I don't know how I was able to play The Sims 2 without any expansions. One thing I don't like is how the game handles the personality points of sims who are born ingame. I usually get hyperactive hyper grouchy sims.

Another issue is the first serious glitch I've experienced. My teenage boy got 7,000 Simoleons of scholarship (+500 when I moved him in), all of his skills were at least level 8. But for some reason, there was a "cap" placed on the class performance meter thingy below the line and it stayed in the red zone no matter how many homeworks or essays he did. This means he cannot complete even the first semester and he'll eventually be kicked out and sent back to the main neighbourhood. Apparently, this glitch occurs if you put several valuable objects in your teen's inventory before sending them to university. (Since you can't give them money from their home household, giving them objects is the only way to raise their scholarship and allow them to buy better household items.) But if you move them to a dorm instead of a house, the class performance cap thingy doesn't appear.

Anyway, it seems I'm cursed with Sims glitches, haha. Or it's just that the game doesn't like what I want to do with it.

I don't think anybody is reading this blog anymore, but Happy New Year to everyone! I'll definitely try to do unproductive things less and draw more in 2015.

A few rough scribbles

Hello again my personal blog. Thing is, I'm jobless again at the moment, which means I have a lot of free time when I'm not too busy worrying about my future... But still, I'm not too inspired to draw. I finished the palette challenge I was doing on tumblr and now I'm like "NOW WHAT?". I have ideas, but... shit, I'm only getting worse. I find myself looking for references even when I want to draw the simplest things. orz

Here's a scribble I did after first seeing Pandora Hearts Retrace 97 (mannn that Retrace was the best thing). I drew this in a few minutes before we went to watch the fireworks and I haven't touched it since then. I may or may not do something with it later.

Sinbad is a compulsory addition in all of my entries lately. -___- Maybe I should do some decent finished work of him. Perhaps then I would be satisfied and stop getting these urges to draw him.

Today's scribble. I've had this idea since I first saw the "Special Feeling" meme. (That was quite a long while ago, yep.) Riza and Roy in the rain instead of snow. I kinda sorta gave up on this because I have no idea how to draw a frigging umbrella. Refs don't help. *sob*

Okay, that is all for now. I'm still pretty uninspired and I seem to give up working on everything faster and faster... I'll try to draw every day now that I have time.

I don't have any new music to listen to either. I'm currently listening to old anime songs I downloaded years ago.

Oh well, hope next time I can post better things~

Hello, my dear blog! I've been neglecting this place because of reasons. I actually have quite a lot of unfinished sketches, but I just... don't feel like posting them, even though I know not many people view this blog. But I finally decided to create a post here after a long time.

So this arrived in the mail yesterday. It's a tiny Alibaba charm I won in a tumblr giveaway. IT MADE ME SO HAPPY. I never participate in giveaways like these because I know I have no luck. But I'm a follower of the blog where this giveaway was held (and it's all thanks to them reblogging a Magi fanart I did), so I instantly became a probable winner. Apparently, I do have some luck after all, hahah~

Magi. I seem to have a serious affair with this series. It's just a terribly mainstream battle shounen, but something captivated me in it. I keep drawing the characters. You'll see it below.

This is an old unfinished sketch from last December. Levi/Lacie from Pandora Hearts. I dunno why I made Lacie's hair look like Alice's here.

My first Magi sketch ever, lol. I can't draw Aladdin. (Also from December. I started watching Magi in the beginning of November, then read the manga in December.)

Alibaba from the same sketchdump the previous Aladdin sketch is from. After this I decided to draw Sinbad. It was a mistake...

My Pandora Hearts OTP, Vince/Ada. I was suddenly inspired to draw this when my mom was watching some crappy romance movie in the other room. The women were wearing pretty dresses and the main couple died in the end. I guess this drawing is kind of OOC. But I wanted to draw it anyway.

Sinbad and Kougyoku from Magi. I drew this in January after not being able to resist the temptation to draw them any longer. I don't exactly ship these two but they look cute together or something. :B Oooh the wonderful unrequited love!! XDD But hey, they actually have a few pretty cute scenes together, Kougyoku is adorable, lol~

This is a super quick random sketch. I think they kinda look like young Roy and Riza from FMA... 8D

Ja'far-kuuunnn. Magi. I didn't like how he turned out and redrew his eyes today. He looks better now.

The stories about waka!Sinbad and child!Ja'far are some of my favourite things about the Magi fandom. All there is about them in the manga is like... A SINGLE FLASHBACK PANEL showing the young assassin Ja'far attempting to kill Sinbad. But there are hundreds of doujinshis inspired by that one panel and I have to admit I became intrigued by it too.

OOOH GO TO HELL SIN. I can't really draw you anyway, you don't look like yourself. My anatomy skills improved a little, but I still suck. I actually coloured this, but I prefer the uncoloured sketch. Btw I also started messing around with this and drew him different facial expressions, but this was the "default" one. And he's not really naked, I just made it seem so by cropping the pic. :B

Super quick crappy Alice scribble. Pandora Hearts, obviously. I'd really like to finish this~~

Quick Gil scribble. My mother told me he was handsome yesterday. Oh my God, the world is coming to an end... (My mother hates every character I fangirl over.) She also thinks I'm totally obsessed with Gil and I only like guys who resemble him in a way. Real or not real. That's why I like Josh Groban too. Yes, totally. :B

Here's another Aladdin I did a couple of days ago. This one turned out better than my first Aladdin, I think. His proportions are also better (I cropped the body off of the first one), though Aladdin is still too chibi for me to draw, lol. I wanna put his staff in his hand and colour this.

Eyebrow-kun. STAHP. GET OUT OF MY HEAD. NOW. I don't wanna fangirl you.
He really arouses my inspiration. There are probably around 5000 mistakes on this sketch, but I still like it. I hate that my Sinbad sketches turn out well. And I totally drew this instead of working on a commission... -___-

Ok, that was A LOT. Haha! I have some more Magi and even some OC stuff, but those are terribly sketchy unfinished things and they are simply unworthy to post. Now I'll go and try to finish the things I should have finished ages ago~ ^^;;;

Today's date is 12/12/12. How cool. 8D We won't have another date like this in our lifetime.

This is a wip shot of the pic I did for the calendar project, I spent a lot of time on it and I think this is one of my best linearts so far. I tried to keep it relatively clean.

And this is a sketch I abandoned. It's kind of cute, though. Maybe I'll continue working on it one day.

I wanted to reply to some comments on DA, but I had a pretty rough day and I'm so tired now I don't feel like doing anything else... I'll save it for next morning. Good night~~

This blog is almost one year old now. Woo~ I like posting stuff here. It's like an archive for myself and it's fun to look back at all the shit I've posted by now. XD;

As first thing to do on the first day of this new year, I joined Tumblr. *le gasp* Within like 5 minutes, someone already started following me. O___o; Whoa!

JESUS CHRIST I posted an older doodle of Break just to post something to see how it looks like and people already started liking and reblogging it. That site scares me. D:

Random sleeping Vincent. I haven't drawn every detail on his outfit. I think sleeping people are hard to draw. But Vincent is a character who tends to randomly fall asleep at times because of his Dormouse chain and I'm obsessed with drawing him. He originally wasn't supposed to have legs on this drawing, so sorry if it's totally off. >___<;;;

This one might be familiar from my previous post. I originally didn't intend to do a lineart for this, but then I somehow stumbled upon this fanfic (I hardly ever read fanfics, actually. But this one is way better than the average.) and it inspired me to continue working on it. 8D I have no clue why I drew that fancy underwear thing (or whatever it is) I drew on Ada, but it was fun to draw. Ada is like a Barbie doll, so girly and disgustingly cute. And Vincent is wearing a regular white shirt here instead of his frilly nightgown-like one. This pairing needs more fanart (the newest drama CD is all about them, tee-hee~) and this fandom needs more het pairing art in general.

Other stuff.

I found my old My Little Pony toys when we were cleaning before Xmas. I have/had more, but only these two are original Hasbro ponies. The baby one was manufactured in 1984 (yeah, a few years older than me, lol) and the big one is from 1992. They still look like they are new and the big one has all of her accessories. Do you think I should try selling them online? Hehe. 8D

This is my mom's cactus. It blooms in December-January. Isn't it pretty? I like how this photo turned out.

I wanted to rant about anime/manga stuff, but this post is already pretty long. I should post more often. XD; I watched Inception yesterday and liked it, but I think I should watch it again at least one more time.

PH insanity and some OCs

Long time no post again, ugh... I've been drawing. Slowly and not that much. Let's see some sketches...

XD This is a "parody" of my own drawing of Glen, lolz. The original is in my deviantART gallery. I started this as a quick random scribble and when I posted it on DA, I somehow got lucky and it ended up in the most popular pics in the 8 hours interval, it had over 400 faves in a week. O___O

Jack and Glen. I drew this because of Kasia's comment on my previous Glen drawing. She said she wanted to do this to Glen. XD It's super quick (I drew it in about 1-2 minutes, I guess) and crappy, but I wanted to upload it here anyway, hehe.

Grumpy Alice is grumpy (or tsundere?). This is part of a bigger pic I plan on finishing soon. I still don't really like how her face turned out here. D:

Jack based on a panel from chapter 67. I just loved his expressions in this chapter so much I had to draw him. Maybe I'm finally starting to learn how to draw him. I really want to do a picture of him later, he's so cute. 8D

I revamped an old OC. It's a bit disappointing how little my style changed in 6 years, isn't it? D: I mean I've always been relatively good at drawing. Other people improve more in just half a year or so... OTL

This is a quick sketch of MauAcheron-the-crazy's character, Olivia. I don't like how her face came out and she looks too girly in my style. DX I drew her because she's one of the 3 characters I have to draw for a kiriban prize art. I've done 2 sketches for that pic already, but I just couldn't get them right for some reason. I feel guilty for not completing this request yet, because I've been sitting on that pic for about 2 months now... OTL

OH MY GOD!! Can you believe I drew VincentxAda smut?! Early in the morning I get fanart ideas like this. What the hell is wrong with me? -___- Vincent probably told her he'd show her some awesome magic spell which involves getting her undressed. 8DDD *shot* Uncle Oscaaaarrrr, your precious niece is about to get tainted!! D: I like this pairing even if Vincent is a "brother-obsessed creeper who buries his desires into vulnerable women". 8) And I actually like how this sketch came out, but I don't intend finishing it.

Woo~ That was a lot of... stuff. Pandora Hearts ate my brain a while ago, so most of it was PH again. I've been listening to a lot of Akiko Shikata songs while drawing lately. I'm also into Yuki Kajiura music again. Many of her songs remind me of winter, maybe because I watched PH in December 2 years ago, lol.

The birds have left

After the super hot weather, rain finally came on Monday evening. There was a HUGE storm at midnight and since Tuesday, it's been much colder. It rained all day today and yesterday too. And today was the first day in this year when the birds didn't come to my window at all aside from a few sparrows. They seem to have moved from our park since it became awfully quiet too. I actually got a little sad because I got so used to them. XD But they will probably come back in September.

I posted the sketch of this a while ago. Well, I got bored of it at this stage. I thought the sketch was pretty good, but I don't like this drawing any longer.

Part of my huge PH group pic. I worked a lot on this today. I still have to fix some things on the lineart, but as you can see I've already started colouring it. Also, I really love to draw roses. :O
