Seriously, 2015 just started and it ended so fast. I didn't post much here this year. I kinda lost interest in this blog because I lost interest in drawing and "fangirling" in general by the end of the year. Still, I'd like to continue drawing in 2016. I haven't sent a message to my commissioners about canceling commissions yet because I'd still like to try in these 4 free days I currently have until Monday.
I didn't draw enough in 2015 because I kinda got back to playing AND watching random dumb games. Getting a smartphone for my birthday didn't help because I got into playing smartphone games too. I even considered buying Final Fantasy III for my phone, but I thought it was too expensive. I also have a full time job now, so I spend my weekdays working, then going to tumblr and/or twitter and playing games for a short while. I usually don't have the inspiration and energy to work on drawings...
Anyway, let's post some things I've been working on:

This one is back from summer, but I haven't updated this blog since then... (I won't be posting the ones I have finished and posted on tumblr or deviantART.)
David and Sinbad. I'm still into Magi. I'm also very excited about the whole Sinbad-David deal, though I have a bad feeling that Magi will end in a disappointing way. I have many ideas with these two, including a dumb parody of a famous painting.
Reigisa scribble I did for a friend's birthday. Unfortunately, I had no motivation and time to finish it on time.

I just doodled a really rough sketch on "Pocky Day" (11.11.) before going to work, but I didn't decide on the characters at the time and they were basically 2 awkward scribbly potatoes done in 2 minutes or less. Then came the idea to do SinSeren later but Pocky Day was no longer actual, so no pocky for them. Maybe I should post this on tumblr...
Okay, that's it for the end of the year. I hope I can continue drawing and doing commissions in 2016. I'd really like to improve and make more money with commissions. That's my new years' resolution, haha. Happy New Year!!
Happy New Year! 8D I know it's super late, but this is my first post in 2015, haha.
I still haven't managed to draw much since last time. I got inspired once and managed to draw a sketch every day for 4-5 days in a row, but then I gave up and started watching anime and play The Sims 2 instead. The recent Levi drawing I posted on tumblr is from that random inspired time.
I did several practice doodles of Ja'far when I wanted to draw him for a friend's birthday in the beginning of February. Ja'far is her favourite from Magi and I dislike Nanatsu no Taizai, so Ja'far was the obvious choice for me, lol. Maybe I should have finished this one instead of the one I ended up finishing, but I didn't like how his face turned out here.
This is an OC doodle that somehow happened. I created this character many years ago after waking up from a movie-like dream. My OCs always change a lot in my head and I keep changing even basic stuff like their names, but I guess "Darshana" finally got stuck as this girl's name.
This is her old outfit which I don't really like anymore. :/ She had straight hair on my first designs of her because it took me forever to learn how to draw this wavy "flowy" hair. I wanted to make her feminine in appearance but masculine in personality. I often try to imagine her actions and interactions with other characters while imagining how an outgoing charismatic and overconfident male character would act. And I like it. XD I just had to create a male attendant for her who balances her out a little, he becomes nervous, embarrassed or worries in her place and makes her stop when she goes overboard. I'll draw him too one day.
Obligatory Sinbad scribbles, duh. I'm still so addicted to drawing him, I hate him so much ugh...
Really quick doodle I did after one of the recent Sinbad no Bouken chapters. OMG my baby is growing facial hair already?! XDD He's growing up so fast, jeez.
Aaand this is not my art. It's a birthday present I finally got recently. My favourite PH boys wishing me a happy birthday, yay~ <3 I'm posting it here because having it here may be safer than having it on my PC or my external HDD. (I apparently lost two or three months worth of old photos thanks to my external HDD - some of them were important personal memories.)
Okay, I guess that's all the unfinished stuff I wanted to post for now. (I have some more messy scribbles, but they are too shitty to post even here.) I'd like to finish at least one of my old Sinbad drawings this weekend. I'll pray to the animu gods to give me patience and inspiration, haha.

Oh yeah, and I wanted to write about a funny story that happened in my The Sims 2 game (I shouldn't have downloaded it last year when EA made it downloadable for free. X'D).
One of my favourite sims refuses to die. XD
He's a guy with romance aspiration and pleasure secondary aspiration. I created him as a university student sometime last year. He's now an elder who reached the end of his life (he lived a great happy life fulfilling his lifetime wants twice - reaching the top of the Athletics career and WooHooing with 20 sims), but when the Grim Reaper comes at 6 pm, he throws himself on his knees and begs for his life. Then the Grim Reaper offers to play a guessing game and my sim always wins. XDD If he keeps this up, he's gonna live forever, lol.

Eventually, he managed to outlive his wife who was actually a couple of days younger than him (she died normally like every other sim). I also realized this is probably not a glitch. I saved the game before 6 pm and kept reloading a few times and one time my sim ended up choosing the Reaper's wrong hand during the game and died. But I didn't save the game when that happened, so he's still alive and keeps messing with the Grim Reaper every day, hahaha. After losing the game, the Reaper leaves and my sim doesn't get a day older. 8D
Update:
I finally figured out why he didn't die! Back when he was still in college, he randomly got a magic lamp and one of the wishes he made was being able to trick the Grim Reaper. I didn't consider this possibility at first because I thought the effect of this wish would "wear off", but apparently it didn't. Anyway, after losing to the Grim Reaper twice in a row, I saved the game and let him go. He was a fun sim to play, may his 4 children prove to be just as fun. RIP. XD
Okay, I'll shut up now. I also wanna ramble about anime/manga and the latest PH chapter (I'd like to draw Aliceee and Ozzz), but I'll do that on deviantART eventually. Now I'll go and work on the drawings I want to finish. Bye for now~

My mother said she looked like a boy, so I completely repainted her nose and made her more doll-faced. I still don't like it, but I may finish it anyway.

Scribbled this after listening to the newest Pandora Hearts drama CD. It's so cute. XDD Some lighthearted interactions with the Sablier characters are so nice aaa~ If I wasn't such a loser, I'd draw something better. It was so nice to hear Lacie and Levi "talk", haha. Also, Taniyama Kishou (Oswald) finally had more than like two lines. Hanazawa Kana forgot how to Sharon, though. I loved her as Sharon because she used to sound different, more "aunty-like" as Sharon, but now she sounds just like every other character she voices. Lacie sounds almost exactly like Alice, Kawasumi-san doesn't differentiate much between them. I'm happy that Sakurai Takahiro got Levi's role because some of my earliest memories of Japanese voices actors are connected to him. He played Cloud Strife in every spinoff/movie/anime of Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy was my first obsession and fandom.
This is a freaking ugly scribble I did yesterday night. I'm posting it to prove how I'm just getting worse and worse... orz I've been wanting to draw a corny couple pic like this, but I have no idea how to do the poses, the angle and everything. I stopped sketching this because I don't know where to put their arms and how to draw their bodies. You wouldn't believe how difficult it is for me to draw even a simple composition like this. And it's only getting harder, it's crazy. It's like... the more I draw, the harder it gets.

Finally, have a preview of this huge-ass Sinbad drawing. It's 3000 pixels tall. :B This is the reason why I was rambling so much about BaalSin's design in my previous post. It just doesn't want to get finished, I often just open it, stare at it for long minutes and close. I prefer this cropped version because his hands are shitty, lol. Anyway, I should finish it because it's the only decent thing I've drawn lately. (Though I started drawing it half a year ago...)

Magi Tarot - I want to do something like this with Pandora Hearts characters. I'm not kidding. I had this idea for a Tarot fanart series like... a year ago. I don't think I'll ever be good, patient and persistent enough to realize it, but maybe I'll try one day.

Do a short comic thing of Vincent and Gil from Pandora Hearts. I have an idea for a pretty cute (?) short story of them and my dream is to turn it into a short doujinshi one day, but I need to learn how to draw comic pages first.
I just wrote this down as a reminder to myself. All of these would be pretty big challenging projects and knowing myself, I won't even attempt working on them. Though some of the crossover fanarts would be relatively easy.
I did a quick sketch of an old girl character of mine a couple of days ago. Holy crap... I've improved. My style changed so much and my anatomy is better, though it still needs work. But making things like these help me feel that I'm getting somewhere. Really slowly, but steadily. Lately I draw other ppl's characters a lot and I'm beginning to miss drawing my own characters. I created this character many years ago after having a strange dream. She is a pretty girl with dark skin, but she has a boyish attitude. She likes to fight and compete with others and she's very outgoing and friendly. She is the only daughter of a rich merchant family. I thought of naming her Darya or making it more masculine and name her Daryl, but then I found this Indian name Darshana which would also fit her somehow. :B
I just made up another character, her attendant. He is a couple of years younger than her. He is a good-natured but slightly wimpy guy. He truly admires his lady and would do anything for her, though he constantly worries about her and has a hard time having to put up with her antics. She likes to tease him.
And now I have a bunch of stories about them in my head... O___o
I drew this unfinished portrait thing in March and thought it was bad. I was experimenting with stuff. Like mixing my sketchy sketch style with semi-realism and pastel colours. Now I think it didn't turn out that bad after all. Also, is it just me or does he really look kinda like Jack Vessalius??

When I'm feeling uninspired, I do a quick sketch of Sinbad. :B Actually, this "version" of Sinbad doesn't even exist in the canon Magi story aside from a few flashback panels and I'm not sure if there is a detailed official design for him. But I really love this outfit because it totally looks like something I would design. I'm a little obsessed with short jacket-things and all. XD;

And another waka!Sinbad just because. I even slapped some colours on this. I guess waka!Sin can be any age between 14 and 28 (though it probably took him a couple of years to establish Sindria and get it work as a country). I usually try to make waka!Sin appear more like a teen because he's cuter than that dirty lewd old guy he is in Magi (XD), but I don't really like how he turned out here. I know I draw him too much lately, but there's something in him I love. To tell the truth, he reminds me of an old OC very much.
Oh yeah, and apparently, we're gonna get a new manga series featuring shota Sinbad as protagonist starting in May. I'm a little skeptical and afraid the young Sinbad will be kinda like "Alibaba 2.0" since there are so many parallels between them, but I'm looking forward to it.
AAAH I'VE BEEN OBSESSED WITH MAGI FOR ALMOST HALF A YEAR NOW AND DON'T KNOW HOW TO DEAL WITH IT. DX I was hoping it would be like my random Tiger & Bunny obsession which pretty much faded away when the anime ended and I didn't end up drawing any T&B fanart, but I think my Magi obsession is just getting worse. I've been sketching the characters quite a lot. I don't know what the heck is in that series that turns me into a pile of fangirling mush, because it isn't even good. It's mediocre at best. I blame the fandom. Yes, it's because of the fandom, I guess.
Magi fandom > actual series.
I actually got into Magi last November when there were only 3-4 episodes of the anime. I started watching it and I was hooked right after the first episode. This rarely happens to me, almost never. I just found the characters adorable, it was funny, it was silly, it had adventure and action and the magical world of Arabian Nights was very enticing too. In fact, I found the beginning of the series very good and compared to the good start, it can get a little boring later on.

Magi will disappoint you if you expect random adventures and adorable silliness. While it continues to provide a few humourous and random bits here and there, Magi turns into something more serious pretty soon with long story arcs, political debates, economic, moral and ethnic issues and wars. However, despite trying to bring up more serious themes, Magi is still a mainstream battle shounen at its core, which means we get plenty of battles, power-ups, friendship speeches and the main characters wanting to get stronger. And despite the good build-up, conflicts tend to get solved ridiculously easily. Good guys are good, bad guys are bad. Though there are a few characters with some pleasant moral ambiguity to them. (No, not Sinbad, though he does look deliciously evil at times.)
All in all, Magi isn't something I'd definitely recommend because it's just another battle shounen with plenty of flaws. :B

XD This is a "parody" of my own drawing of Glen, lolz. The original is in my deviantART gallery. I started this as a quick random scribble and when I posted it on DA, I somehow got lucky and it ended up in the most popular pics in the 8 hours interval, it had over 400 faves in a week. O___O
Jack and Glen. I drew this because of Kasia's comment on my previous Glen drawing. She said she wanted to do this to Glen. XD It's super quick (I drew it in about 1-2 minutes, I guess) and crappy, but I wanted to upload it here anyway, hehe.

OH MY GOD!! Can you believe I drew VincentxAda smut?! Early in the morning I get fanart ideas like this. What the hell is wrong with me? -___- Vincent probably told her he'd show her some awesome magic spell which involves getting her undressed. 8DDD *shot* Uncle Oscaaaarrrr, your precious niece is about to get tainted!! D: I like this pairing even if Vincent is a "brother-obsessed creeper who buries his desires into vulnerable women". 8) And I actually like how this sketch came out, but I don't intend finishing it.
Woo~ That was a lot of... stuff. Pandora Hearts ate my brain a while ago, so most of it was PH again. I've been listening to a lot of Akiko Shikata songs while drawing lately. I'm also into Yuki Kajiura music again. Many of her songs remind me of winter, maybe because I watched PH in December 2 years ago, lol.

This is what happens when random inspiration strikes. My newest original character. I was inspired by Katie's cat girl. About 90% of my random characters are boys. I just find them easier to draw than girls. I don't like furries, but I sometimes like humanoid characters with strange ears and tails and shit. Ears can help enhancing the character's emotions. This is the first time I've drawn a character with doggy legs. Would he look better with normal human legs? Hmm...
Well, I guess I should continue working on that first WIP now. I've been listening to a lot of Yuki Kajiura music again, I just can't get enough of it. I also realized that I still don't have all the songs from the Tsubasa Chronicle OST. HUGE MISTAKE!
I finished the festival pic yesterday, but I made another work in progress pic. It looks almost finished, but I still made many small changes till the finished version . I still hate this, meh...
And I wanted to do some random mindless doodling this evening, so I started my 2nd semi-realistic character portrait thing in Photoshop. I've worked on it for only a few minutes so far, see how fugly it is:

Charactersss~~ I'm not satisfied with my current style. These are just quick portraits of a bunch of different characters. Mom liked the top left one, my personal favourite is the bottom right one. We both like dark haired guys, lol.
And it's snowing right now. It's 20:53. The trees are so pretty. I doubt this snow will last for long but maybe it won't melt till the morning. I can't even remember the last time it snowed in March and didn't melt immediately.
Ok, now I'd better start working on something I'll actually complete.
