Just a quick post

I hope I can finish writing this before I have to go.

I still don't have much to post, but I somehow found the motivation to work on my semi-realistic Echo pic some more:

My mother said she looked like a boy, so I completely repainted her nose and made her more doll-faced. I still don't like it, but I may finish it anyway.

Fast scribble of Mu from Magi. I know his eyes are off. Muscular pretty boys are fun to draw.

I just wanted to draw a girl. Somehow she reminds me of Morgiana. I may turn her into Morgiana when I draw her clothes. IF I draw her clothes...

Scribbled this after listening to the newest Pandora Hearts drama CD. It's so cute. XDD Some lighthearted interactions with the Sablier characters are so nice aaa~ If I wasn't such a loser, I'd draw something better. It was so nice to hear Lacie and Levi "talk", haha. Also, Taniyama Kishou (Oswald) finally had more than like two lines. Hanazawa Kana forgot how to Sharon, though. I loved her as Sharon because she used to sound different, more "aunty-like" as Sharon, but now she sounds just like every other character she voices. Lacie sounds almost exactly like Alice, Kawasumi-san doesn't differentiate much between them. I'm happy that Sakurai Takahiro got Levi's role because some of my earliest memories of Japanese voices actors are connected to him. He played Cloud Strife in every spinoff/movie/anime of Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy was my first obsession and fandom.

This is a freaking ugly scribble I did yesterday night. I'm posting it to prove how I'm just getting worse and worse... orz I've been wanting to draw a corny couple pic like this, but I have no idea how to do the poses, the angle and everything. I stopped sketching this because I don't know where to put their arms and how to draw their bodies. You wouldn't believe how difficult it is for me to draw even a simple composition like this. And it's only getting harder, it's crazy. It's like... the more I draw, the harder it gets.

Finally, have a preview of this huge-ass Sinbad drawing. It's 3000 pixels tall. :B This is the reason why I was rambling so much about BaalSin's design in my previous post. It just doesn't want to get finished, I often just open it, stare at it for long minutes and close. I prefer this cropped version because his hands are shitty, lol. Anyway, I should finish it because it's the only decent thing I've drawn lately. (Though I started drawing it half a year ago...)

Ok, that's all folks. I finished in time. I dunno when I come home, but I'll try to draw some more when I do.

Today's date is 12/12/12. How cool. 8D We won't have another date like this in our lifetime.

This is a wip shot of the pic I did for the calendar project, I spent a lot of time on it and I think this is one of my best linearts so far. I tried to keep it relatively clean.

And this is a sketch I abandoned. It's kind of cute, though. Maybe I'll continue working on it one day.

I wanted to reply to some comments on DA, but I had a pretty rough day and I'm so tired now I don't feel like doing anything else... I'll save it for next morning. Good night~~

Lalala, still art block. And I managed to cut my right thumb today with my COMPUTER! XD;;; Seriously, a part of  the "A" in the ASUS logo got stuck in my finger as I was cleaning the damn thing! Who thought it would come off like that?! I managed to pull it out of my finger, but it was bleeding like hell. It's a small cut but it's pretty deep. I hope it heals a bit by Monday.

Anyway, I haven't been drawing much. Tomorrow is Break's birthday, but I missed Vincent's birthday too, so I'm not gonna draw anything. I'd decided from the beginning that I wouldn't draw for these "character birthdays", but I always feel a little guilty for not doing anything while "Happy Birthday" drawings keep popping up on pixiv. ^^;

This is pretty much the only thing I've been working on recently. This will be (?) a commission for HockeyWitch. I still dislike his face, but I think I might leave it like that now. I've been messing around with it for 2 months...

It looks like this at the moment. My task was to draw Gil like he is on this picture but in a semi-realistic style. I'm not satisfied with the result, but I'm too lazy to try redoing it all. I think I realized it just now that the mouth looks awkward, haha...

I've been working for 3 months. However, this job is only for a certain period of time and it will end next year. To be honest, I'm both scared and happy about it. I'm scared of not being able to find another job, but I'm happy that I won't have to work here forever. I do like the people there and it's an okay job, but I want something more. Something where I could use my skills and solve problems instead of just being an "errand girl" and doing the most basic or least pleasant stuff nobody else is willing to do. I really don't want to complain, but the payment could be better too. (Well, it's a job for rookies so...) I like working there, but I think I'm capable of doing more.

And... and... I played Slender! In my opinion, the game is much more annoying than scary. I watched a few people play on YouTube, but their screen didn't seem as dark as mine most of the time. I can't really figure out where I'm going even with the flashlight switched on. I attempted to play a few times, but just gave up and quit after collecting 1-2 pages because I got bored of the endless walking and the trees. (Slenderman got me only once after walking for way too long.) The drumming in the background is also annoying as hell. My other problem besides the blinding darkness is the speed. Walking is frigging slow. Running should be better, but in this case, I can see even less. The scariest part of the game is the sudden flickering screen. That really made me go "Huh!?" a few times. But I think people overreact and overhype like always.

Hands and PH

If anyone is reading this, then hi! 8D I've been trying to draw but I haven't managed to produce too many decent things lately. A few scribbles I did:

I decided to practice drawing hands a bit. My left hand was the model.

Lolz, this is a really bad doodle I did of Zwei one night. It doesn't even resemble Zwei because I was too lazy to use a ref. I managed to make her look crazy enough, though. XD;

I logged in to Tumblr on March 29 I and the first frigging thing I saw on my dash was THIS. With Caucus Race 2, one of my secret fangirly dreams of Gil hugging Vincent came true and I just had to quickly scribble something to commemorate this beautiful event. 8;D It's a really fast sketch, but I kinda like it. I might clean it up a bit and post on Tumblr later.

Vinceeent~ This was inspired by a Tiger&Bunny fanart of Lunatic/Yuri from Pixiv. I kept thinking this pose was hot and hard to draw because of the perspective of the arms and I wanted to draw a male character in a similar pose, but didn't know which character. Then I realized Vincent had long hair and he actually has it tied back recently...

LMAO. Jack as Jack and Lacie as Rose from the famous movie, Titanic. I was working on this today. I had this idea some time ago and even did a really quick doodle in the middle of March, but only started seriously working on it today. I can't believe I've never seen this parody/crossover done before. XD; April 10 is gonna be the 100 year anniversary of the day when the Titanic embarked on its first and last journey and April 14-15 is when the tragedy happened. Great occasion for a fanart like this... ?

There are many things I messed up on this pic, but I'm going to finish it anyway.

I started putting my username on some pics, because sometimes people steal things even from this blog and then edit them without permission and then I "meet" them again in someone else's DA gallery. -___- Okay. I wanted to rant about some things, but it's getting pretty late and I don't wanna spend an hour typing shit now, so maybe I'll do it some other time~~

Snow

I'm such a kid. Yesterday, it snowed all day and it made me so happy. XDD The snowing continued until about noon today. I was watching it for a while early in the morning from my window and the snow was sparkling in the light of the street lamps, it was so pretty! I was about to give up on seeing more snow than just a few drops this winter, but  now we finally got some cold (VERY cold) and a decent amount of snow.

Drawings. KICK MEEE!! PLEASE?! I should draw more. I have a sketch which has the potential to be one of my best drawings if I finish it. I started doing the lineart yesterday and couldn't draw one character's face decently, kept erasing and redrawing, then eventually gave up. OTL (For now.)
I gave up on creating original things a while ago almost completely, but I'm not good enough even as a fanartist. I'm stalking a couple of artists on Tumblr and I'm always like "how can they draw so much? why is even their sketchy stuff so good? why can't I draw half as well as this person when I'm 5 years older and I have been doing digital art for 6 years and she's just a hobbyist like me?" Anyway, I've been trying to draw, but everything I do sucks.

First of all, while I was working on my Glen portrait, I noticed that the same file looked slightly different in Sai and Photoshop. The only thing I don't like in Sai is that the shades don't seem to blend as nicely as they do in PS. Different shades have this "edge" in Sai that I can't delete no matter what tool I use. When I open the same file in PS, it looks smoother.

Quick sketch of Leo. I stopped drawing/colouring this, cuz I didn't like how it was turning out. :\

Break. This one was inspired by a cosplay photo. I can't draw his hair.

This is COMPLETE UTTER SHIT. This is what happens when you try to draw something cool and dynamic and then you realize during the process that you cannot draw dynamic things to save your life and the result turns out looking like crap and 200% static lol. I'm just posting this to show you how bad my really quick sketches are. -___-;

Okay, here's a sample from the Pandora Hearts fanart calendar. We are seriously making a calendar (actually two calendars). In fact, I'm already done with the first 12 months. It's more difficult to do than it seems, but it's turning out better than I expected at first. I'm not sure when it will be done, because we still don't have a 2nd June pic, but I hope we can finish it before March... >___<;;;

I want to draw moaaar, I'll go now...

Oh, and some people take and edit even the sketches I post here on this blog without permission. Is it so hard to contact me and ask for my permission first? D: I may have to start watermarking even my doodles, lol.

Various PH stuffs

I've been in a creative mode lately, which is good, I guess. Okay, let's post some things here~

 These are two work in progress pics of this deviation. It took me a week to finish the sketch, get over my laziness and start doing the lineart, but then all the linearting, colouring and background were done in only 3 days, which is a really short time for me, cuz I usually sit on a drawing for weeks... XD;

I enjoy torturing characters I like. >D I put this up on my Tumblr, but I wanted to post it here too~

This a 3-colours-only quickie thing of Demios done in Sai. It's unfinished and I have no clue what Demios' "body" looks like, because we never see it clearly in its full glory in the manga, so this is just my guess. Ok, Pandora Hearts really made me go crazy. Srsly, since when am I obsessing over things that resemble of a skeleton of a genetically modified mutant goat... ??

I also did a colouring of Jack from chapter 69, but I don't really like how it came out. Anyway, I posted it on Tumblr and it got more likes and reblogs than anything else I posted myself so far, so I guess maybe it's not that horrible after all. XD; The reason I did this is because I'm still considering making a fan video of Pandora Hearts and it would be good only if I could edit/colour shitloads of panels for it. I'd edit out the speech bubbles and backgrounds and colour the characters. So it would be insanely time-consuming. My other problem with it is that I'd like to focus on Jack and the tragedy of Sablier - in other words the newest arc and we still don't have enough chapters of that. But of course I could start editing and colouring the older parts I'd like to use nonetheless~~

Oh, and I almost forgot adding this. I drew this yesterday. I had this sudden urge to do another semi-realistic portrait of a PH character and I chose Glen/Oswald. (I think I'll keep calling him Glen for the sake of simplicity.) About 80-90 minutes of work with Photoshop CS2 so far. I used some references to get the proportions right, but he wasn't based on anyone in particular. So far, it looks much better than my first realistic Vincent wip. XD;;;

Alright, that's all for now. I wanna work a bit more on that realistic Glen today. 8D

NOOO I just heard those bitches killed off Megaupload and Megavideo!! *wriggles in agony* DDDX You have no idea how much anime and other shit I used to watch on Megavideo, I even watched the entire Avatar series there. And of course I used to download stuff from Megaupload too. Hell, even my shimeji was uploaded there and now people can't download the zip version from my DA any longer. Let's pray for they won't shut down deviantART and other sites likes that...

Just a random character I sketched a few days ago~~

Gilbert and Vincent from Pandora Hearts. I drew this today afternoon in a few minutes just for random practice. Have I ever mentioned that Gil is ridiculously easy for me to draw? 8D I love their "cube" hair, lol. And angry Vincent is a rare sight.

Anyway, I'm still working on the Alice shimeji, it's about 50% done now, though the harder animations will come just after the first half...

Awwwh f**k!! That small apartment-like place on top of our house (it's sort of like an attic, but it's not) was sold! I've always fantasized about that place and wanted to go there ever since I was a little kid, but now I never will. Nooo!! We should have bought it. My mother knew it was being sold and she didn't tell me! Apparently, it's just a small room with a bathroom, but but but... it would have been perfect for me to start separating myself from my parents and start living alone. And it was so cheap I could have bought it from my spare money. Nobody has lived there before, but now the owners of the block decided to sell it. And these strange people bought it, we are scared of them. If I suddenly disappear in the near future, it will probably be because they robbed us and took the computer... -___-; Oh well, it's no use crying over spilt milk...

I just rediscovered the Tsubasa Chronicle Future Soundscape OST again and "Hear Our Prayer" is such a beautiful song, I love it so much!

Kiriban sketch + Random fanarts

I live in a block of flats and currently, a family lives "under" us; a man, a woman and a little girl. They haven't been living there for too long, but they always argue. Just now, they had a horrible quarrel, they were shouting at each other, slamming the doors and all that stuff. It was so horrible to hear the little girl screaming and shouting "Daddy! Daddy! Please don't hurt mommy! Please!". Poor thing. :( Why do people like that live together? I miss the kind Hungarian-Japanese couple with the two little boys who lived there before.

Anyway, some drawings I worked on in the past 2 days:

This is one of the sketches I did for a kiriban request (on deviantART). It's not perfect, but I guess I'll go with this one.

Mom said I didn't draw enough girls. So, here's Ada Vessalius from Pandora Hearts. I like her. I usually don't like useless girly girls with small brain and big boobs, but Ada is cute. XD I also loved this scene in the manga, it was adorable, lololol~~ I thought she'd be afraid of that guy or something, but she tried to protect him instead d'awww~~

 And this is Count D from the Petshop of Horrors manga. Someone on deviantART asked me to draw him after seeing my drawing of Count Cain. I've spent about an hour working on this so far, I'm slow... OTL

By the way, I'm randomly obsessing over Sound Horizon's album, Roman again. The funny thing is I don't even know the song titles because I have the whole album as one big file and the CD cover and booklet are all in Japanese.

Victorian dudes and random doodles

Ok, so from newest to oldest:

I tried to draw Cain from the Trinity Blood manga yesterday. I think it sucks. There are some manga styles that are relatively easy for me to draw / copy / imitate *coughpandoraheartscough*, but Kiyo Kyujyo's style is something that's beyond my limited art skills. Her characters have too big eyes and I simply can't get the facial proportions she uses right. D: They also have crazy hair. I actually tried to draw Esther first, but it turned out to be an utter failure... OTL

How to make me instantly fangirl any anime/manga? Throw in 2 relatively good looking male characters with very different personalities in a series, let's have them be friends and then turn them against each other! If they end up slaughtering each other in the process, that's even better!
... it was just a matter of time for Jack and Glen to tingle my inner fangirl's interest. Glen probably doesn't look exactly like himself, but I was too lazy to search for good pics of him in the manga. Btw, they are from Pandora Hearts, obviously.

Gilly + Funny comparisions

I doodled this yesterday. I downloaded a bunch of Pandora Hearts doujinshis yesterday morning and I had to draw a Gil. XD;;; I love him. I'm posting this now, I want to finish it today. Btw, Pandora Hearts is the only thing that makes me download doujinshis. I did download a few FMA doujins before, but I usually don't like those. I wonder, is there something like "Pandora Hearts het doujin / hentai / yuri"? I can't believe that none of the female characters are interesting enough for the fans to make doujins with them. D:

I tried to draw with a mouse in Easy Paint Tool Sai, lol.

When I'm really uninspired, I try to redraw some old pics of mine. EPIC STYLE RAPE, LOL! I think I improved a lot in 2010. o___O I actually tried to do a remake of this sometime in 2008 too, but I don't have that drawing on my hard drive any longer. If I find it, I'll redo this. And I might finish the latest version, so I can see how much my colouring improved. 8D

Ok, this one is old. I made it in 2009 just to laugh at myself and my crappy old proportions. X) It's Alec. I actually posted that 2nd drawing to my DA gallery in 2010, but I changed his face.

I finished the festival pic yesterday, but I made another work in progress pic. It looks almost finished, but I still made many small changes till the finished version . I still hate this, meh...

And I wanted to do some random mindless doodling this evening, so I started my 2nd semi-realistic character portrait thing in Photoshop. I've worked on it for only a few minutes so far, see how fugly it is:
