Worst storm I've ever seen

I don't write about personal things a lot because nothing interesting happens to me. But yesterday we had a terrible storm where I live and I just have to write about it a little.
Putting it under a read more because of reasons.

Not dead yet

Yes, I only come here once in every few months, it seems. Truth to be told, my friendship deteriorated with most of the people who used to follow/view this blog years ago, so I'm not so enthusiastic about updating any longer. Plus I forgot how to draw. :B
And I also got myself a twitter account in March. I've been uploading the few things I'm working on there. However, I think I'll still keep this blog. It's a nice archive for myself. Better than twitter because I can actually find things I posted months or years ago.

This was the first sketch I posted on twitter. I also coloured and posted it on dA, but I still prefer the sketch. I don't like how the coloured version turned out.

Sinbad is my big obsession, I still haven't stopped doing countless little sketches of him. And I wanted to draw an angry Sinbad for once. I find him very attractive when he's angry/serious.

Not sure if I should finish this. It's a random VinceAda thing I did based on a photo. I suck at drawing long hair, uuugh.

I drew this for the 69 minutes challenge on twitter. I'm amazed I managed to draw it in only 69 minutes, though I had the concept and reference ready before I actually started drawing it. (Even just planning a drawing can take long. If I don't have an actual idea, I can spend 20 minutes staring into the void and drawing random lines that make no sense before giving up.)

This was drawn after the last PH chapter came out. Just a warm-up practice thingy of Vincent.

Little Lacie dancing in the blood of her enemies. I originally wanted to draw Jack all beaten up but then I drew Lacie. Her legs may be too short, idk.

My next PH Tarot card, I'm working on this right now. I did the characters separately and randomly inserted them on my template and I was surprised how well they fit. The background is too gaudy at the moment, I'll probably tone down the pinks later. I had a lot of issues with this card because I wanted to come up with some super cool symbolic concept and all but nothing I could do looked good enough, so I had to resort to something simple.

The sparrows are so annoying today, I can't concentrate on drawing because of them. This year we even have woodpeckers, Eurasian jays and doves.
And we also have a cheeky chickadee. We feed them walnuts besides the sunflower seeds. They love walnuts. Yesterday morning I wasn't feeling well (I often have stomachaches lately) and lied down on my bed for a bit. I opened my window because most "unwanted" birds (pigeons, jays, etc.) are afraid of an open window and won't dare to eat the chickadees' food while it's open. However, there weren't any walnuts left in their feeder, just the ones my mother had cut up and put on the table earlier.
So our favourite cheeky chickadee comes. She (I assume it's a female) doesn't find any nut pieces in their basket left, starts searching and jumps on the inner frame of the window. She looks around for a bit, then comes in and flies on the table. She found the freaking nuts my mom put there for me to put in their feeder later. So she walked there, picked up a piece of nut, knocked another piece off in the process, then I think she jumped on my armchair with it and finally flew out the window. SO CUTE.
I watched the whole thing from the back of the room from my bed. It's a shame I didn't have my camera with me, I could have filmed it.
Last summer they came in to the kitchen by accident all the time, but this one bird seems to be way too brave and intelligent. She's also that kind of bird who comes as soon as we open the window. She sits there and waits for us to put food in their basket. Then she starts eating while we are still standing there in the open window close enough to reach her. A few days ago I tried offering her nuts from my hand and even though she was too wary to actually touch my hand, she seemed very tempted and didn't fly away.

I want new music to listen to. I discovered the album The 1975 by The 1975 a couple of months ago and still love it. I used to listen to their songs "Me" and "Fallingforyou" on tumblr a lot and then I finally got their album. My favourites are "Heart Out" and "Robbers".

Okay, I guess I rambled enough for now. Back to drawing VinceAda~

More birdy photos and stuff

Mother managed to make my digital camera work and I'd thought of editing the previous post to add more photos, but then I ended up procrastinating and thought it would be better to make a new post for more photos. So yeah...
I also thought I'd post more photos online because I put about 5 years of photos on my external HDD last summer and I recently discovered that several of them are corrupted now and I can't view them anymore... D:

This year there was a baby boom for the chickadees! There were at least 8 young birds + the two parent birds. The parents were feeding them in the beginning, but they learnt to manage by themselves fast.
Also, they bring dead mosquitos. Those are probably the sparrows who bring them, but it's funny when I find some random giant dead mosquito in my window. XD

Look at this photogenic little guy! Or gal. I made some better birdy photos on May 16-17 and this was the first one.

"Feed me, mommy!"

They are so adorable, aren't they?

Even a goldfinch came on May 16!

I managed to get some pretty close shots of them. The only distracting thing is that the curtains were reflected in the window a little.

4-5 birds is the most I managed to capture in one photo, but we counted 8-10 of them at times. Sometimes there were 5 birds at the same time in one vessel. They move really fast, so it was hard to count them let alone take a photo.

And here's something we woke up to on the 25th of May. It was raining and there was this beautiful rainbow in the sky. Unfortunately, it was behind some clouds and you can't see it that well on photos, but it was awesome in real life.

View from my window with the rainbow. This was the 2nd time in my life I've ever seen a rainbow from my window.

Casual sight in my window at 5:30 am. This was taken after taking some photos of the rainbow.

Just a random shot. We had lots of rain in May and it looks so beautiful when there are dark clouds in the sky, but the sun is shining.

This is an older sunset photo from last November. I don't even have to leave my home, I can see all these beautiful things from my window, lol. I love nature.

Ok, that's all for now. I have some scribbles I'll probably post later, but I wanted to make a separate post for photos~
Also, here's a song. I saw a gorgeous AMV of various Makoto Shinkai anime with this song once and it's a shame it was deleted from YouTube.

May = baby birds

EDIT:  Ok, I think there are SEVEN chickadees, lol. I counted 7 the next morning.

Oh my god. I've never seen so many little chickadees in my window at the same time. 8D
Me and my family have been feeding birds for years now. Last winter only a few sparrows came, so we almost stopped feeding them, but around the end of February, we occasionally started seeing chickadees, greenfinches and goldfinches as well. There was a pair of chickadees that started coming regularly. They came more and more and we figured it must have been because they started raising their little ones. We've been hearing the young chickadees chirping for a couple of weeks now, but they didn't invade our window until today. Today was raining all day and it was also "chickadee invasion day". It happened before that they brought their kids, but never so many at the same time. X'D Imagine 5-6 little fluff balls chirping in your window. IT'S THE CUTEST THING. I swear they have at least 5 or 6 chicks because we could count this many at once. Yesterday and the day before, we watched the little sparrows, but most of them disappeared today. Maybe they were afraid of the chickadee army, lol.
I managed to take a few photos with my phone:

There are 5 of them here. It was hard to take photos of so many without scaring them away.

Two of them. They can eat by themselves now, but they still start chirping and asking for food when the parent birds appear, lol.

And here's a random sunset photo I took a few years ago. I must say there's a wonderful view from my window. I love living here. I'm really going to miss this place when I have to move one day.

Alright, this has been yet another pointless post. I could post a few wips and sketches, but I won't do that now. Maybe when I have more.

VincexLotti + Photos

I'd like to apologize to everyone who I promised a drawing to. I know I shouldn't be working on this, but I really enjoy working on it~~ Gaaah!!

Anywho, I just wanted to write a bit more "personal" blog entry here. I was browsing my photos on my computer today and decided to upload a few since I promised KGX347 that I would post something of the place where I live and stuff.
View from my window. I took this photo last summer. I live in the Southern outskirt area of the capital city. I really love living there.

This is a photo I took in the local cemetery sometime in September. In Hungary, the last few days of October and beginning of November is the main time of the year when families visit the graves of their deceased relatives and friends and mourn together. I didn't really care about this tradition before, but I've been visiting the cemetery quite often since grandmother died.

My current favourite bird in my window, haha. Isn't it cute? It's so tiny!

This is an old photo I took about 3 years ago. That's my hand and my talking budgerigar, Dani. He seems to be fascinated by that peach drink. XD Aw, I miss him.

This is also Dani with my cat, Panka. They tolerated each other surprisingly well. Photo from 2007.

This is how close they were. They even ate together. That bird was incredible. When he didn't find an available human he could bother, he went to bother the cat. It's a miracle the cat never tried to hurt him.

Okay, so that's all~ The last 3 photos were taken with my old camera, so the quality isn't that good. I posted these old photos, because I wasn't even aware they were still on my PC and it was a nice surprise when I rediscovered them today. ^___^

Goodbye Marci

So I lost my 4th budgie today. This morning, mom wanted to play with him and took him out of his cage, but he got scared and flew into the big room where the window was slightly open. He normally never flew there, so mom wasn't careful enough. Then we tried to follow him for hours, we took his cage, took two ladders because he was on a nearby tree at reachable height, I kept calling him and did everything I could, but still... Before I lost sight of him, I managed to get so close to him I could reach him with my hand. I tried to slowly reach my hand up to him, but he got scared and flew away. That was the last time I saw him.
I had him for only 2 years. My younger aunt brought him to us in September 2 years ago, after my grandmother passed away and our previous budgie died because of some kind of tumour earlier in the same year. He was very wild and scared in the first year, but then he started growing attached to me. He liked only me, just like my first budgie. It was only during this last spring, when he started becoming tame. In fact, it was only a few weeks ago, when he became brave enough to freely come out and go back to his cage. He learned to fly on my hand when I called him. He couldn't talk, but we taught him to "give kisses" and he usually started doing it when he saw me, haha! He was also chirping and chattering in his own bird language a lot, it somehow made the apartment more cheerful. He was really cute and I started growing attached to him too. But now I hate myself for taming him this much. It hurts, I feel this empty space inside that hurts. I keep thinking that he's now very scared, hungry and lost and he will die miserably either starved to death, frozen to death or killed by a cat and I'm unable to do anything for him... Marci, you stupid, stupid little bird. You were always so stupid. I can only hope now that you won't have to suffer too much.
I'll get over it, but I feel horrible right now.

The birds have left

After the super hot weather, rain finally came on Monday evening. There was a HUGE storm at midnight and since Tuesday, it's been much colder. It rained all day today and yesterday too. And today was the first day in this year when the birds didn't come to my window at all aside from a few sparrows. They seem to have moved from our park since it became awfully quiet too. I actually got a little sad because I got so used to them. XD But they will probably come back in September.

Drawingz.

ZOMG a pencil sketch!! I drew this in last October, though. Just wanted to scan it to test some settings in Photoshop. Random OC guy.

I posted this to my DA journal, just thought I'd post it here too. Break. I wanted to draw him in his sexy rainbow-coloured swimsuit he's wearing in one of the specials. XD

This is one of a bunch of retarded doodles I did on Monday. Chibi Vincent with a severed head. Lovely.

I posted the sketch of this a while ago. Well, I got bored of it at this stage. I thought the sketch was pretty good, but I don't like this drawing any longer.

Part of my huge PH group pic. I worked a lot on this today. I still have to fix some things on the lineart, but as you can see I've already started colouring it. Also, I really love to draw roses. :O

Ok, that's all for now. I'd like to draw something quick now~~ 8D
